Refund Policy
What Birdie Recon can and cannot refund — and what we never charged in the first place.
Operator: Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon.
Scope, and the short versionIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. This policy covers money paid to Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon for Birdie Recon itself. It does not, and cannot, cover money you pay a golf course or a booking platform, because that money is never ours — see “Course fees are not ours” below, which is the answer to most of the questions that bring people to this page.
The short version: Birdie Recon holds no customer money and stores no card details. We are never the merchant of record for a green fee, and we never complete a booking or a payment on your behalf: the reservation is completed by you, on the course or booking platform’s own site, with your own account and your own payment method.
Payments for a Birdie Recon subscription are handled by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle bills you, is the seller named on your receipt, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues any refund back to your original payment method. Your card details go to Paddle and never to us — we do not see them and could not store them.
Course fees are not oursIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now, and it does not depend on anything else on this page. Green fees, deposits, booking fees, cancellation charges and no-show penalties are charged by the course or the booking platform, not by us. That money never reaches us, so we cannot refund it, waive it, or dispute it for you — that is between you and them, under their terms.
If a course charged you something you think is wrong, the course is who can fix it, and we will help you work out who to ask. What we cannot do is put money back that never came to us — and we would rather say that here than after you have asked.
Refund windowIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force. You can request a refund within 14 days of a charge, in line with Paddle’s Refund Policy. Paddle reviews the request and issues any refund to your original payment method. After 14 days you can still cancel at any time, which stops the subscription renewing.
Cancelling and refunding are different things, and you may want the first without the second: cancelling stops the next charge, and a refund puts back one already made. See “Cancelling a plan” below.
What is not refundableIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force. Anything a golf course or booking platform charged you is not refundable by us, because we never received it — see “Course fees are not ours” above. That is not a policy choice; it is a fact about where the money went.
Beyond the 14-day window above, a subscription charge for a period already started is not routinely refunded — cancelling stops the next one. If something went wrong on our side, say so and we will look at it: the commitment under “How to raise a billing problem” below is not limited by this paragraph.
Cancelling a planIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force. You can cancel a paid plan at any time, from your account page or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future billing and moves you to the free Scout tier at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep what you paid for until then. Cancelling is a downgrade, not a deletion: your account, your watches and your history stay where they are, and you can use the free tier or upgrade again whenever you like.
Two things are separate from cancelling and are not affected by it: closing your account or deleting your watches needs nobody’s permission and is described in the Privacy Notice, and stopping text alerts is separate again — reply STOP or untick the box, and nothing about your plan changes.
How to raise a billing problemIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. Email support@birdierecon.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. A person reads it. If we ever charged you something we should not have, we will put it back — that commitment does not need a price model to be true, and it binds us from now.
ChargebacksIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. If you have a problem with something we charged you, please come to us first. We would nearly always rather refund a charge than argue about it, and we can usually sort it out the same day — a chargeback takes weeks and costs both of us.
A chargeback filed without contacting us first may result in our suspending the account it was filed against, because from where we sit an unannounced reversal and a fraudulent sign-up look identical. That is not a threat and it is not a waiver of anything: your rights with your card issuer and under consumer law are yours, we cannot take them away, and nothing in this section tries to.
None of this reaches a charge made by a course or a booking platform. We are not the merchant on those and we have no say in a dispute about them.
ContactIn force · effective 16 August 2026
Email support@birdierecon.com. That reaches a person, not a ticket queue. The operator of record is Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon; ask at that address if you need a postal address.
