Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon for use of Birdie Recon.
Operator: Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon.
Who we areIn force · effective 16 August 2026
Birdie Recon is operated by Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon — “we” throughout this document. These Terms cover your use of the Birdie Recon website, app and alerts.
You can reach a person at support@birdierecon.com. We do not print a postal address on this page yet; email that address if you need one and we will give it to you.
What the service doesIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. Birdie Recon is a tee-time alert service: it watches publicly published tee sheets for the specific times you tell it to watch, and notifies you when one of our checks finds a match. We alert; you book.
We do not complete bookings. We do not hold, reserve, resell, list, advertise or transfer tee times, and we will not do any of those on your behalf. Every booking is made by you, on the course or platform’s own site, at their own price. That is a commitment, not a description of a current limitation.
Birdie Recon is watching courses now, and no alerts are going out yet. When alerts start, the service will do what is described here and nothing else.
What the service does not promiseIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now, and it is the honest half of the one above. We do not guarantee that a tee time will be found, that an alert reaches you before somebody else books the slot, that a course or booking platform stays reachable to us, or that any check runs at a particular moment.
We do not control the tee sheet and we do not influence what appears on it. Availability belongs to the course. Getting the time is a race we help you run, not one we can win for you.
What our liability is if something goes wrong is a separate question, it is in the Liability section below, and it is still to be drafted with counsel. Nothing in this section limits anything.
Your accountIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. An account is for one person: do not share it, sell it, rent it or transfer it to anyone else.
Keep the email address and mobile number on your account accurate — they are where the alerts go, and an alert sent to an address you no longer read is an alert you did not get. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us at support@birdierecon.com if you think somebody else has got into it.
We have not set an inactivity rule, and we are not going to print one we have not decided. If we ever start closing dormant accounts, it will be said here first and you will be told before yours is one of them.
Acceptable useIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. The service exists to tell you a tee time is open so that you can go and book it yourself. You agree not to:
- resell, scalp, broker or commercially exploit tee times, or use our alerts to stock a business that does — we monitor availability, we are not a reservation broker, and we will not be used as the front end of one;
- resell, republish or redistribute the alerts themselves, or run an account on behalf of people who are not you;
- use the service in a way that breaks a course’s or booking platform’s own terms, or that is aimed at getting round their booking limits;
- interfere with, overload, probe, reverse-engineer or try to get unauthorised access to the service or to anything it talks to;
- access the service by automated means except the ones we provide on purpose; or
- use the service for anything unlawful.
Military and veteran verificationIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. It governs verification whenever it is available, and it applies only if you choose to verify — nothing here is required to use the service.
Verification is not available yet. No verification provider is connected to this service, so nobody can complete one today. We have reached out to GovX, our preferred authentication provider, and we are working through their verification process. Nothing is agreed, nothing is signed and we have no date; when that changes it will be stated here before anybody is asked to rely on it.
Verification is never carried out by us. Your identity documents go to the verification provider and never to us; what we would receive and store is whether you are verified, what the affiliation is, and when the verification expires. That is set out in the Privacy Notice under “What we collect”.
A verification expires, and affiliation is confirmed annually. We check the expiry date every time your verified status is used rather than on a periodic sweep, so a verification that has lapsed stops counting at the moment it lapses — and we will email you before that happens. We do not accept self-attestation of service: if the verification provider has not confirmed it, it is not verified here.
Misrepresenting your eligibility — verifying as somebody else, or using an account verified by somebody else — is grounds for removing the verified status and for closing the account under the Termination section below.
What verification would unlock is a separate question and it is not settled. There is no veteran or military discount today. We are not going to state a veteran or military discount here before one is decided, and we make no claim about which military or MWR courses would be reachable. If and when either is decided, it will be stated here and on the veterans page before anybody is asked to rely on it.
Text message alertsIn force · effective 16 August 2026
Birdie Recon operates one text messaging programme: tee-time alerts, sent by Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon to the mobile number you give us and only after you have ticked the consent box next to it. This section is in force now and describes the programme exactly as it will run.
The programme is not sending yet. No text alerts are going out today. When texts start, they will be the messages described here and nothing else.
Consent to texts from Birdie Recon is consent to texts from Birdie Recon and nothing else. Global Partners, LLC operates other brands, and ticking the box here does not opt you in to messages from any of them — nor does a box ticked on one of theirs opt you in to ours. Each brand collects its own consent on its own screen, and a STOP applies to the brand whose message it answers.
- Who sends the messages: Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon.
- What they are: alerts about openings on the tee-time watches you set up, and service messages about those watches. No third-party marketing is sent to that number.
- How you opt in: by ticking a separate, unchecked-by-default consent box next to your mobile number on your account screen. It is its own checkbox — accepting the terms is not consent to texts, and consent to texts is not acceptance of the terms.
- Frequency: recurring, and it varies — a message goes out when one of your watches finds a match, so how many you get depends on the watches you set and what the tee sheets do. You set the floor yourself: every watch has a cooldown, and we will not message you about the same watch again inside it. We have not run the programme yet, so we are not going to print an average we cannot stand behind — a real figure goes here once we have one to report.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
- Coming back after a STOP: text START to us from that same mobile number. A STOP is recorded against the number itself rather than against the account, so re-ticking the consent box on the account screen does not undo it — the handset that opted out is the only place that can opt back in. That is deliberate: mobile numbers get reassigned, and the person holding the phone is the person whose choice it is. We put no expiry on an opt-out; it stands until that number says otherwise.
- Consent is not a condition of buying anything or of using the service. Email alerts never require a phone number, and refusing texts does not reduce what else you get.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Stopping text alertsIn force · effective 16 August 2026
You can withdraw consent at any time, by any of these routes, and we will act on all of them:
Withdrawing consent stops the texts. It does not close your account, cancel your watches or stop your email alerts — the channel changes, not the service.
- Reply STOP to any message. That number is unsubscribed and we will send one final confirmation and nothing after it. The opt-out is held against the number, it has no expiry date, and only START from that same number lifts it.
- Untick the text-alert consent box on your account screen, or clear the mobile number entirely. Either one stops the texts. Both act on the account, so neither is a substitute for STOP if what you want is the number itself on our do-not-text list — and neither can override a STOP that number has already sent.
- Email support@birdierecon.com from the address on your account and ask us to stop.
- Reply HELP to any message for help, or use the same address above.
Plans, billing and cancellationIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force. Birdie Recon has a free tier (Scout) and paid tiers. A paid plan renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it, and what each tier includes is set out on the pricing page rather than here, so that what you are shown is what the checkout charges.
Payments for a Birdie Recon subscription are handled by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle bills you, is the seller named on your receipt, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues any refund back to your original payment method. Your card details go to Paddle and never to us — we do not see them and could not store them.
You can cancel a paid plan at any time, from your account page or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future billing and moves you to the free Scout tier at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep what you paid for until then. Cancelling is a downgrade, not a deletion: your account, your watches and your history stay where they are, and you can use the free tier or upgrade again whenever you like.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Separately, and not affected by any of the above: Birdie Recon holds no customer money and stores no card details. We are never the merchant of record for a green fee, and we never complete a booking or a payment on your behalf: the reservation is completed by you, on the course or booking platform’s own site, with your own account and your own payment method.
Course fees and paymentsIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now, and it does not depend on anything above being decided. Birdie Recon holds no customer money and stores no card details. We are never the merchant of record for a green fee, and we never complete a booking or a payment on your behalf: the reservation is completed by you, on the course or booking platform’s own site, with your own account and your own payment method.
Green fees, deposits, booking fees, cancellation charges and no-show penalties are charged by the course or the booking platform, not by us. That money never reaches us, so we cannot refund it, waive it, or dispute it for you — that is between you and them, under their terms.
Third-party courses and platformsIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting as agent for any golf course, golf association, municipal parks department or booking platform. Your booking is a contract between you and them — their fees, their cancellation rules, their no-show penalties — and we cannot change, cancel or refund it.
Green fees, deposits, booking fees, cancellation charges and no-show penalties are charged by the course or the booking platform, not by us. That money never reaches us, so we cannot refund it, waive it, or dispute it for you — that is between you and them, under their terms.
The service also depends on third parties of our own — hosting and database providers, the messaging aggregator and mobile carriers that carry a text, and the sign-in providers you may choose. If military and veteran verification becomes available and you choose to use it, the provider carrying it out would be another. Your use of those is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Who receives what is listed in the Privacy Notice.
How we behave on their systems is set out in our Fair Use Credo, linked at the foot of this page. That posture is in force too: no watcher, no request; we check once and share the result; we go at each system’s pace; we only read.
Intellectual propertyIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. The service — its software, its name, its crest and its written content — belongs to Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon and is protected by law. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for what it is for. Rights we have not expressly given you here, we keep.
That runs the other way too, and this is the half worth reading: the watches you create and the alert history on them are yours. We take no licence over your personal data beyond what running the service requires, which is set out item by item in the Privacy Notice. We do not claim ownership of anything derived from your use of the service for research, for product development or for sale — and if we ever want to, we will ask for it in plain words rather than take it in a clause here.
Disclaimer of warrantiesIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY ALERT WILL REACH YOU, OR THAT YOU WILL GET ANY TEE TIME.
In plainer words, and it is the same words as “What the service does not promise” above: availability belongs to the course, not to us. Nothing in this section takes away a right your local consumer law gives you and does not let us disclaim.
Limitation of liabilityIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon, its owners and its suppliers will NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost tee time, lost booking, lost profit or lost data, arising out of or connected with the service.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY for any claim arising out of the service will not exceed what you actually paid Birdie Recon in the three months before the event the claim is about. We hold no money today, so as things stand that figure is nothing — we would rather you knew that than found it out from a clause.
Two things this cap does not touch, because a cap that swallowed them would not be honest: money the course charged you is not ours to be liable for or to refund, and nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
IndemnificationIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. If somebody brings a claim against us because of how you used the service — because you broke these Terms, broke a course’s or platform’s terms, or infringed somebody’s rights — you agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless against that claim and the reasonable costs of dealing with it. This does not cover a claim that arises from something we did wrong.
TerminationIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. You can stop using the service whenever you like, and you do not have to tell us why. Deleting your watches and your data is described in the Privacy Notice under “Your choices, and deleting your data”, and that route is real today.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms — the Acceptable Use section above is the list — or that is being used in a way that puts us, another user, or a course’s systems at risk. Except where the problem is serious enough that waiting would make it worse, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right before we close anything. If we close your account, we will say so and the deletion route above still applies to what we hold.
Changes to the service and to these termsIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. We may change this document. When we do, the effective date printed on the sections it affects moves with it, and we will notify you of a material change — by email to the address on your account, or in the product — before it takes effect.
Notice is not enough for every change, and we would rather draw that line ourselves than leave it to be argued later. A change that widens what we do with your personal data, or that would start sending you a kind of message you did not ask for, requires fresh consent from you: until you give it, the version you agreed to is the one that binds us. For anything short of that, continuing to use the service after the change takes effect is acceptance of it.
We may also change the service itself, and some of it will change a lot — it is still being built. What will not change without fresh consent from you is what we do with your personal data and what we send to your phone.
Governing law and disputesIn force · effective 16 August 2026
This section is in force now. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules — Idaho because that is where Global Partners, LLC, the company behind Birdie Recon, is established. The courts of the State of Idaho have jurisdiction over any dispute not settled otherwise, except where the law where you live says otherwise, in which case it does.
There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these Terms. That is deliberate rather than an omission: neither has been decided, and if either is ever added it will be added in the open, with notice, and it will be a change of the kind the section above is about.
Before any of that: email us. Most of what could go wrong here is something we can fix in a day.
ContactIn force · effective 16 August 2026
