Text alerts and support for Birdie Recon
How to stop texts, how to get help, and how to reach a person. No account needed to read any of this.
Stop texts, right now
- Reply STOP to any Birdie Recon text. That number is unsubscribed immediately. You get one confirmation and nothing after it.
- Reply HELP to any Birdie Recon text for help by text.
- In the app: sign in and open Account → Text and WhatsApp. Untick the consent box, or clear the mobile number entirely. Either one stops the texts.
A STOP belongs to the phone number, not to the account. Mobile numbers get reassigned, so an opt-out protects whoever is holding that handset next — which means re-ticking the box in the app cannot undo it, and is not meant to. The only thing that lifts it is texting START from that same phone. We have not given ourselves a button for that, deliberately: it is not our choice to make. There is no expiry on an opt-out; it stands until that number says otherwise.
Status
Text alerts are not sending yet. Birdie Recon is watching courses now, and nobody is receiving texts. Everything on this page describes the programme as it will run, and is in force now so that it can be checked before a single message goes out — not after.
Get help from a person
Email support@birdierecon.com. That reaches a person, not a ticket queue. Tell us the email address on your account and what you were trying to do, and you will get a reply from a human.
Alerts are sent from an address that only sends — replies to it are not read. Write to support@birdierecon.com, or see contact.
The text alert programme
Messages come from Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon. These are the facts of the programme, and they are the same ones stated on our text alerts page, our Terms and our Privacy Notice — rendered from one source so the four pages cannot drift apart.
- Who sends the messages: Global Partners, LLC d/b/a Birdie Recon.
- What they are: alerts about openings on the tee-time watches you set up, and service messages about those watches. No third-party marketing is sent to that number.
- How you opt in: by ticking a separate, unchecked-by-default consent box next to your mobile number on your account screen. It is its own checkbox — accepting the terms is not consent to texts, and consent to texts is not acceptance of the terms.
- Frequency: recurring, and it varies — a message goes out when one of your watches finds a match, so how many you get depends on the watches you set and what the tee sheets do. You set the floor yourself: every watch has a cooldown, and we will not message you about the same watch again inside it. We have not run the programme yet, so we are not going to print an average we cannot stand behind — a real figure goes here once we have one to report.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
- Coming back after a STOP: text START to us from that same mobile number. A STOP is recorded against the number itself rather than against the account, so re-ticking the consent box on the account screen does not undo it — the handset that opted out is the only place that can opt back in. That is deliberate: mobile numbers get reassigned, and the person holding the phone is the person whose choice it is. We put no expiry on an opt-out; it stands until that number says otherwise.
- Consent is not a condition of buying anything or of using the service. Email alerts never require a phone number, and refusing texts does not reduce what else you get.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
What the messages look like
An alert, in the shape we send it:
Birdie Recon: 2 tee times open at Van Cortlandt Park (2026-09-14 07:40). Book: https://golf-nyc.book.teeitup.com/…
And the replies to the keywords:
- STOP — Birdie Recon: you’re unsubscribed and will get no further texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.
- START — Birdie Recon: you’re resubscribed to tee time alerts. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
- HELP — Birdie Recon tee time alerts. Help: support@birdierecon.com. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.
Every way out
All of these work, and none of them needs our permission.
- Reply STOP to any message. That number is unsubscribed and we will send one final confirmation and nothing after it. The opt-out is held against the number, it has no expiry date, and only START from that same number lifts it.
- Untick the text-alert consent box on your account screen, or clear the mobile number entirely. Either one stops the texts. Both act on the account, so neither is a substitute for STOP if what you want is the number itself on our do-not-text list — and neither can override a STOP that number has already sent.
- Email support@birdierecon.com from the address on your account and ask us to stop.
- Reply HELP to any message for help, or use the same address above.
What we keep after you opt out
We keep a record that consent was given and, if you withdraw it, that it was withdrawn. Carriers require us to be able to evidence both, and deleting an opt-out would risk texting someone who asked us to stop. That record is kept detached from you — the brand, the channel, whether consent was granted or revoked, and when. No email address, no mobile number, no account id. It is never used to contact you, and it is what lets the record be both retained and no longer personal data.
Everything else about deleting your account, and what survives it, is on the deletion page.
